A Tribute To Pak by Shof Hwa

A Tribute To ‘Pak’ by Shof Hwa
This day I want to thank my heavenly Father for giving us a wonderful earthly father in Pak. Though he himself was fatherless at a tender age of nine, Pak sought to the best husband to my mom, the best Father to us his six children as best as he could. He was a loving, faithful and caring husband to mom whom he married sixty-one years ago. They were matchmaked and theirs was a perfect match that stood the test of time with its joys, hardships and trials that this life brought. He was a faithful father to us all. He was there for us especially during our hard
times. He loved his family and he was a diligent provider, protector and head of the family. We thanked him for the sacrifices and love that he has imparted into our lives.

He modelled to us his children what it means to serve the Lord in the church and at home. When I was young, I remembered him teaching us at Sunday school and playing the piano even though he was not musically trained. He used his gifts to serve the Lord and the people. He also served in the committee as a deacon for many years. I praise God for the Christian heritage that Pak has built over the years for us to follow. His life exemplified his love and commitment to God and his people. He always showed concern for others, and thought of others first even during his last days on earth. He was a quiet man, a person of simplicity and a man of few
words.

Finally, "He has fought the good fight, has finished the race, most importantly, he has kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7. We love you Pak and will always treasure all the good memories of you as a wonderful father and grandfather to us all.
